I have never prayed for the health or return of a pet without it ending badly. If three pets are ill but I request prayer for one, it dies or doesn't return. But, please pray, however futile, for the return of Walnut and DJ after the neighbors dog frightened them away. We are all distraught, and fearing they are lost, terrified or injured. I don't want to give up, but maybe we shouldn't even pray for pets.
