Please pray for my family. I live with my daughter, whom I love dearly, and my two lovely grandchildren. I am basically financially destitute; my Social Security doesn’t go far, and I can’t even afford all of my medicines. Right now, I’m doing without one of my heart medicines and both of my medicines for depression. My daughter yelled at me yesterday, as I haven’t been able to give her any money is a few months. I was giving her $500 a month out of my $1500 check, because I’d gotten a ticket and caused her insurance to go up. I do all the laundry for the household, help clean the house, pick up after and play with my 6-year-old granddaughter, and clean up after the two dogs. But she wants me to pay her money, and I just don’t have enough. Go to bed hungry some nights; she’ll get the kids food (they eat take-out), but I’m left to fend for myself, and my check is gone after a couple of weeks, if it lasts that long. Thank God for the food pantry at church. She gets money for child support ($10,000 monthly); I get $1500 monthly. My teen-age grandson is also verbally abusive, though I even try to help him with his homework. I love being a grandmother, but I’m not appreciated here, and I feel I am being taken advantage of. Please pray for my family, and for my daughter to return to the Lord, to her baptismal promises, also for the baptism of my grandkids. I’m a convert, raised Baptist, confirmed five years ago this Easter vigil. My daughter was raised Baptist, but now I guess you’d call it New Age or something that she ‘practices.’ For example, she recently bought this ‘un-hex’ candle to remove this generational curse on our family. I’m praying a novena now for her; then I’ll pray one for each of the grandkids. Please pray for all of us.
