Please pray for healing of our son, John. He's been in the hospital for 3 days and finally downgraded out of top level ICU into a regular room. So many health problems, old ones and new ones. Glucose went to 967 and he never was even diabetic before. This means he won't be able to go out granddaughter's graduation tonight. He's been her primary mentor and closest bond niece. Launa's mother, Shauna graduated exactly 18 years ago to the day. John drove all the way from California to Texas to be there. She was the first Corker to ever get a diploma. He is turning 50 in July, and 17 years older than her. She was very pregnant and close to her due date. After she went through the ceremony, smiling for the cameras, she came and leaned on him, telling him "We need to go to the hospital NOW, the baby (Launa) is coming!" We all went along behind them for the hour's drive. And so, after many years of living states apart, he arrived right before the graduation to witness his sister's accomplishment through many hardships, but to be there with her for the birth of her baby girl a few hours later. Shauna is our 4 boys only sister. To see Launa graduate tonight was something he's put on his bucket list, a full circle. Please pray for him, Shauna, Launa, Adrianna, Sean, Kristal, Asher, Osiris, Audrina, Leila, Leo, Isaac, Isaiah and the basically exiled Christopher Anthony Corker, who is John's first son. Please also pray that our family patriarch, my husband, George will have sufficient health and mind today to be present mentally and physically. Please give me strength. All of the family relationships are so extremely broken. Between our youngest, Sean and Christopher, there are even threats on each other's lives from the other one! The one refuses to be anywhere where the other might be at the same time. This is LAUNA'S day! They need to be civilized enough to be there for her tonight. Their personal grievances should take a hiatus just for the one occasion. Matt, our troubled middle child. I have no words. He says he'll be there and likely ride with Nephew, Isaac, John's youngest. I haven't spoken to Matt in a couple of days. He lives here but after we exchanged some strong words after I got home from being at the hospital with John from 9:30 pm Wednesday night until 5:30 am Thursday morning. I've been told he now works with Isaac instead of the other job he had for a few weeks. Isaac has been in a conflict situation with his dad, John, and Christopher. Everything is such a broken mess. Please keep us in prayer for all of this and the Holy Family knows much more than I can even remember or know. Thank you.
