Please pray for my husband, George. He's been very sick for two weeks. We had almost a week with no heat or electricity, no propane to cook with and no water. Subfreezing temperatures INSIDE our house for days. Huddled in one room in all of the clothes and blankets we own, shivering. George has had a fever off and on for almost two weeks. We are so grateful to have light and heat, propane and gasoline. We still have no WATER. Can't flush toilets, shower, wash hands or dishes. It's been a nightmare for all of us in Texas. Our water system and pipes froze and burst, costing thousands of gallons to dump on the ground and freeze. All of the plumbing supplies for repairs is sold out statewide. Plumbers are booked for weeks to restore homes to running water. Please pray that there are parts available somewhere. We have to replace ALL of the pipes under our homes, ground and walls, water heaters, washing machines. Hundreds of dollars, and as many feet of water lines. So many Texans have suffered the same or worse. Many so far have also had electricity and water running again, and I thank Our Blessed Mother, Mary, Her Son, Our Savior, Jesus, and Our Father. Through all of the struggle I went through alone with the strength Our Lord gave me. More than human strength. He gave His strength to my lowly old woman's body. I'm so amazed at His power and strength that got me and my husband through all of this traumatic experience. But, George is very sick. I can see just how sick now that the immediate threat of dying from the cold has passed, and we have light and heat. Please pray for his health. Please, St. Joseph intercede for us to have our home repaired to have water again. Please pray for all who suffered and still suffer from this unprecedented crisis in Central Texas. The PTSD and shock and disbelief that things went so horribly wrong in every way. That the stores can get milk, bread, eggs and other necessities for their family's survival. Some haven't even had food as they were trapped by the ice in the dark, thirsty and freezing. My husband, George is 72 and I'm 64.
